ÖZET
539 gebe kadının dişetleri klinik olarak muayene edilmiştir. % 66,42 sinde gingivitis bulunduğu, % 33,58 zinde dişetlerinin normal olduğu görülmüştür.
Gebelik peryodu üçer aylık üç devreye ayrılarak incelenmiştir. Birinci devrede en düşük {% 43), üçüncü devrede en yüksek (% 71} gingivitis yüzdesi elde edilmiştir.
Hastaların yaşları dikkate alındığında 20 yaşından küçük olanlarda en düşük gingivitis yüzdesi bulunmuştur.
Gebelik gingivitisinin lokal tesirlerle yakından ilgilii olduğu ve tartıların artmasiyle şiddetlendiği görülmüştür.
SUMMARY
In this study, the gingivae of pregnant women who have applied to Zeynep Kamil Hospital in Istanbul have been examined clinically. The examination was carried out in dental clinic of hospital with good lights and modern equipment, The gingivae were examined individually and charted on a cart. As criteria of gingivitis, we used redness, swelling, bleeding and pus secretion on pressure. Gingivitis has been classified as to different types or degrees of severity.
Fot the statistical annalysis, the material was divided into three age groups: 1) less than 20 years, 2) between 20 and 30 years, and 3) between 30 and 40 years. The pr&gnancy period was also divided into three period; A) between 1 and 3 months, B) between 3 and 6 months, C) more than 6 months.
In this study, it has ben found that the incidense of gingivitis is 66,42 per cent of 539 pregnant women examined clinicall.
It has been observed that an increased incidence of gingivitis was noticeable from the second month of pregnancy, increasing up to the ninth month.
There was the lowest incidence of pregnancy in the group which was less than 20 years.
The incidence of pregnanct tumour was 2 per cent. It was frequently associated with irritation from calculuc, an everhanging filling or a partial denture.-
In pregnancy, the incidence of gingitis was related to local irritants.
