SUMMARY
Rehiring is the readaptation of a denture base to the residual alveolar ridge and is accomplished by adding more resin denture base material.
When relining is to be done, an impression must be made using the denture as a tray. Approximately 1.0 mm of clearance over the ridge is created by grinding the tissue surface of the base with acrylic trimmers.
After its base is trimmed, an autopolymerizing acrylic reline material is mixed.
The sections of the jig are assembled and closed gradually and evenly by tightening the lock nuts. The relive jig is placed in a pressure pot.
