AN ASSESSMENT OF THE IMPORTANCE OF QUALIFIED HUMAN RESOURCES ON BRAND IMAGE AND ON INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIVENESS OF ISTANBUL FINANCIAL CENTER WITH LATEST RANKINGS AND SURVEYS

Abstract

Istanbul Financial Center Project was raised in 1985 by the Foundation of Finance Managers, Finance Club Turkey. Taking part in the National Development Plan of 2007-2013, published in the Official Gazette in May 2010, Istanbul International Financial Center Project (IFC) entered into force. To be accepted as a financial center many requirements must be fulfilled so as to provide general norms regarding the global examples. In particular, building and urban oriented financial center perception must be replaced by other critical decisions and much more than taxes or capital, i.e. skilled workforce and qualified human resources. In this study, Istanbul Financial Center's marketing capabilities, brand image and competitiveness are examined under "Qualified Manpower" and Education / Trainings headlines. The latest international surveys and rankings are also considered within this conceptual and theoretical paper and it is aimed to provide a different approach for future academic and professional applications.
