Physical Analysis of Surface Interactions and pH Changes of Cleaning Products: Materials Science and Environmental Perspective

Abstract

This study investigates the surface interactions arising from cleaning product applications
and the physical effects of pH variations from the perspective of materials science and environmental
sustainability. It examines residue deposition on commonly used surfaces (glass, stainless steel, and
wood), focusing on the influence of surface porosity (SP), pH variations, and fluid dynamics. In
addition, the effects of cleaning products on ST (ST), contact angle (CA), and environmental toxicity
were analyzed in detail. The findings show that SP significantly affects residue accumulation (RA)
and that optimizing pH levels is critical for the physical integrity of surfaces and environmental
sustainability. This study highlights the need to optimize the formulation of cleaning products and
promote the use of environmentally friendly materials. It also aims to provide a scientific basis for
improving the effectiveness of cleaning products while reducing their environmental impact.
