Kuzu Besi Yemine Sodyum Bütirat Katkısının Besi Performansına Etkileri

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, kuzu besi yemine ilave edilen sodyum bütirat katkısının rumen gelişimi ve besi performansı üzerine etkileri araştırılmıştır. Araştırma 27’şer merinos ırkı kuzudan oluşan deney ve kontrol grubu olmak üzere toplamda iki gruptan oluşmuştur. Çalışma süresi boyunca her iki gruptaki kuzulara kaba ve konsantre yemler ad libitum olarak verilmiştir. Grupların kuzu besi yemleri içerik ve kompozisyon olarak benzer düzenlenmiş, ek olarak deney grubununkine %0,4 oranında sodyum bütirat katılmıştır. Her 2 gruptaki kuzularda da doğumda, deneme başlangıcında, 45 günlük yaşta, sütten kesim zamanında ve deney sonunda canlı ağırlık tartımları yapılmıştır. Grupların yemliklerine konan ve artan konsantre ve kaba yemler tartılmıştır. Deney sonunda, grupların sıcak karkas ağırlıkları saptanmıştır. Her iki gruptan 3’er kuzu rastgele seçilerek rumenleri alınmış, rumen papilla uzunlukları ve kalınlıkları ölçülmüştür. Bulgularda, deney grubunun toplam canlı ağırlık artışlarının kontrol grubuna göre 45. ve 105. günlerde daha yüksek olduğu görülmüştür (p<0.05). Deney grubunun ortalama sıcak karkas randımanları kontrol grubuna göre daha yüksek olmuştur (p<0.05). Kontrol grubun araştırma sonu ortalama toplam kuru madde tüketimi deney grubuna göre 4,01 kg daha fazla olmuştur. Deney grubunun 1 kg karkas maliyeti kontrol grubuna göre daha düşük olmuştur. Kontrol grubunun rumen papilla uzunlukları ve genişliklerinin deney grubuna göre daha fazla olduğu saptanmıştır. Sonuç olarak, kuzu besi yemlerine katılan %0,4 oranındaki kaplanmış sodyum bütiratın besi performansını olumlu etkileyebileceği, ancak rumen gelişimine üzerindeki etkilerin daha iyi anlaşılabilmesi için sütten kesimden önce de histolojik incelemeler yapılmasının faydalı olacağı kanısı oluşmuştur.

Effects of Sodium Butyrate Addition to Lamb Concentrate Feed on Fattening Performance

Abstract

The effects of sodium butyrate supplementation to concentrate on rumen development and fattening performance were investigated in this study. The lambs were divided into two groups, namely the control (KN) and the experimental (SB), each consisting of 27 individuals. Roughage and concentrate feeds were given ad libitum to the groups. Concentrates of the groups had similar composition, but experimental group contained 0.4% sodium butyrate. All lambs weighed at the beginning, lambs 45 days old, the weaning and end of the trial. Feed consumption of the groups was weighed. At the end of the trial, during slaughtering, hot carcass of the groups weighed. The length and thickness of the rumen papilla were measured in 3 lambs randomly selected from each group. It was observed that the total body weight gains of SB were higher on the lambs 45th and 105th days old compared to KN (p<0.05). Mean hot carcass efficiency of SB were higher than KN (p<0.05). At the end of the research, the average total dry matter consumption of KN was 4.01 kg more than the SB. One kg carcass cost of the SB was lower than the KN. It was determined that the rumen papilla lengths and thicknesses of KN were higher than SB. It can be said that the sodium butyrate addition into concentrate feed provides higher body weight and carcass yield. Moreover, it has been concluded that it would be beneficial to perform histological examinations before weaning regarding the effects on rumen development.
