Yazar, gazeteci ve oyun yazar olan Oralhan Bökey, 28 Eylül 1948’de Kazakistan’ın Altay bölgesinde doğdu. Uzun süre çalıştığı gazetecilik alanından edebiyat dünyasına adım atmıştır. Gazetecilik alanı sayesinde yazarlığa gelen Oralhan Bokey’in eserlerinin önemli özelliği doğa olayları ve yaratıklar temelinde kahramanların karakterini açmak, doğayı esas alarak kahramanların davranışlarını ortaya koymak, doğanın ve insan ilişkilerinin, karşılıklı etkilerinin, eylemlerinin tam bir tasvir etmektir. İnsan ve doğa karşılaştırması, doğayı haklı çıkarma, insanlık eleştirisi gibi sorunlar eserlerinin her birine yansımaktadır. Ancak yazar, ana konudan sapmaz ve doğa-insan sorununu bir bütün olarak ele alır. Makalede ele alınan önemli nokta, Altaylar’ın güzel doğası üzerine kurgulayan yazarın, eserdeki karakterlerin doğayla olan ruhlarını ortaya koyma biçimindeki özelliklerine odaklanmaktadır. He stepped into the world of literature from the field of journalism where he worked for a long time. The important feature of the works of Oralhan Bokey, who became a writer thanks to the field of journalism, is to reveal the characters of the heroes on the basis of natural events and creatures, to reveal the behavior of the heroes based on nature, to describe nature and human relations, mutual effects and actions. Problems such as comparing human and nature, justifying nature, criticizing humanity are reflected in each of his works. However, the author does not deviate from the main subject and deals with the nature-human problem as a whole. The important point discussed in the article focuses on the characteristics of the author, who builds on the beautiful nature of the Altays, in the way the characters in the work reveal their souls with nature. In the article, the economic and geographical position of the Altays is explained and a brief information about its history is given. In addition, the colorful nature of the Altays, which Oralhan Bokey dealt with in his works, was examined.
