Kadın Cinsel Sağlığının PLISSIT Modeli ile Değerlendirilmesi

Öz

Hayat boyunca cinselliği etkileyen birçok faktör cinsel sağlık sorunlarının ortaya çıkmasına sebep olmaktadır. Cinsel sağlık, bütüncül hemşirelik bakımının ayrılmaz bir parçasıdır. Hemşirelerin cinsel sağlığı değerlendirirken etkili bakım vermelerine rehber olan modellerden biri PLISSIT modelidir. Model, PLISSIT kelimenin baş harfleri olan; P- Permission (İzin verme), LI- Limited Information (Sınırlı Bilgi), SS- Specific Suggestions (Öznel Öneriler) ve IT- Intensive Therapy (Yoğun Tedavi) oluşmakta ve dört aşamada değerlendirilmektedir. Kadınlara cinsel sağlık ile ilgili açık uçlu sorular sorularak kendilerini ifade etmeleri için olanak tanınmakta ve çözüm önerileri sunulmaktadır. Hemşirelerin, kadın cinsel sorunlarında PLISSIT modeline dayalı verecekleri cinsel danışmanlık ile cinsel sağlığın yükseltileceği düşünülmektedir.

Evaluation of Women's Sexual Health with the PLISSIT Model

Öz

Many factors that affect sexuality cause sexual health problems throughout life. Sexual health is an integral part of holistic nursing care. PLISSIT model is one of the models that guide nurses to provide effective care while evaluating sexual health. PLISSIT model is evaluated in four stages which is P- Permission (Allowing), Limited Information (Limited Information), SS-Specific Suggestions (Subjective Suggestions) and IT-Intensive Treatment (Intensive Treatment) and it is consisted from capital letters of PLISSIT. By asking open-ended questions about sexual health, nurses give opportunities to women for expressing themselves and after that solutions are offered. It is thought that sexual counseling by the nurses based on the PLISSIT model will increase sexual health in women's sexual problems.
