Dünyadagerek gelişmiş gerekse gelişmekte olan ülkelerde gelir eşitsizliğindeki artışdikkat çekicidir. Artan gelir eşitsizliğinin nedenlerini sorgulamak son dönemdeiktisat literatürünün üzerinde durduğu en önemli konulardan birisidir. Gelireşitsizliğini etkilediği düşünülen değişkenlerden birisi de doğrudan yabancıyatırımlardır. Bu bağlamda çalışmanın amacı Türkiye’de gelir eşitsizliği iledoğrudan yabancı yatırımlar arasındaki ilişkiyi analiz etmektir. Değişkenlerarasındaki ilişkinin belirlenmesinde eşbütünleşme ve VAR analiz yöntemlerindenyararlanılmıştır. Çalışmanın en önemli bulgusu doğrudan yabancı yatırımlarıngelir eşitsizliği üzerinde uzun dönemde herhangi bir etkisi olmadığı ancak kısadönemde negatif ve oldukça düşük düzeyde (önemsenmeyecek derecede) etkisininolduğu şeklindedir.
