Abstract In the history, human beings have migrated in theworld due to geographical conditions and climate. But in modern times it occursdue to human rights violations, unequal distribution of rights, increase in population,inadequate resources, a better life search and civil wars. Migrations affect thedestination society in many ways such as the economy, politics, security concernsand social issues. While these effects are perceived as a threat at thebeginning of migration, they have the potential to turn into an opportunitylater on. The example of migration in recent years is the Syrian civil war andthe mass migration of the Syrians, especially to the peripheral countries. Inthis article, with the help of current studies the effects of the Syrians onTurkey such as economy, education, security and other (including health,housing, lack of capacity and integration issues) will be investigated and the impactsof Syrians will be tried to determine within the context of threats andopportunities. In the conclusion part, some recommendations will be made to thepolicy makers.
