Depremler dünyanın en büyük doğal afetlerinden biridir ve genellikle en tehlikeli olanıdır. Depremler, insanların ruhsal drumlarını etkileyerek yaşam ilgili duygu ve düşüncelerinde değişikliklere neden olabilmektedir. Bu araştırmanın amacı Kahramanmaraş depremi sonrası üniversite öğrencilerinin gelecek kaygıları, psikolojik iyilikleri ve yaşam doyumlarının tespit edilmesi için tanımlayıcı nitelikte ve kesitsel tipte gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın katılımcılarını, ülkenin farklı üniversitelerinde öğrenim gören 514 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada, veri toplamak için Katılımcı Bilgi Formu, Üniversite Öğrencilerinde Gelecek Kaygisi Ölçeği, Psikolojik İyi Oluş Ölçeği ve Yaşam Doyumu Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda üniversite öğrencilerinde gelecek kaygısı ve gelecekten umutsuzluk ile psikolojik iyi oluş ve yaşam doyumu arasında negatif yönlü anlamlı bir ilişki tespit edilmiştir. Yapılan analiz sonucunda psikolojik iyi oluşu, gelecek kaygısı ve gelecekten umutsuzluğun, yaşam doyumunu, gelecek kaygısı ve gelecekten umutsuzluğu negatif yönde yordadığı saptanmıştır. Ayrıca çalışma sonuçlarına göre gelecek kaygısı puanlarında kadınların ortalaması, erkeklerin ortalamasından anlamlı olarak daha yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır. Bu çalışmanın bulguları, depremlere maruz kalmanın gelecek kaygısı düzeylerinde artışla ilişkili olduğunu göstermektedir. Bu çalışma, depremlerin öğrencilerin psikolojik iyilik halleri üzerindeki etkilerine dair önemli içgörüler sunmakta ve ümidin terapötik potansiyelinin eğitim programlarına entegre edilmesinin önemini vurgulamaktadır.

Earthquakes are one of the world's largest natural disasters and are usually the most dangerous. Earthquakes can affect people's mental states and cause changes in their feelings and thoughts about life. The aim of this study was to determine the future concerns, psychological well-being and life satisfaction of university students after the Kahramanmaraş earthquake. The participants of the study were 514 students studying at different universities in the country. Participant Information Form, Future Anxiety Scale for University Students, Psychological Well-being Scale and Life Satisfaction Scale were used to collect data in the study. As a result of the study, a negatively significant relationship was found between future anxiety and hopelessness about the future and psychological well-being and life satisfaction in university students. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that psychological well-being, future anxiety and hopelessness about the future negatively predicted life satisfaction, future anxiety and hopelessness about the future. In addition, according to the study results, it was determined that the average of women in future anxiety scores was significantly higher than the average of men. The findings of this study indicate that exposure to earthquakes is associated with increased levels of future anxiety. This study provides important insights into the effects of earthquakes on students' psychological well-being and highlights the importance of integrating the therapeutic potential of hope into educational programs.
