                                                                                                                        <abstract><p>Mineralli sular kimyasal ve fiziksel dinamizmle karakterize özel jeolojik şartlarda oluşmuş doğal solusyonlardır. Günümüzde, su tedavisi birçok ülkede uygulanmaktadır. Balneoterapi hastanın mineralli su içeren banyo veya havuzlarda tedavi edilmesini ifade eder. Mineralli sular moleküler konsantrasyon, kimyasal içerik, içerdiği farklı oligo-elementler, kapasite, sıcaklık, pH ve terapotik etki mekanizmaları gibi farklı fiziksel özellikleri ve kimyasal içeriklerine göre sınıflandırılırlar. Dünyada balneoterapi uygulanan yegane ve özel yerler, İsrail’de Ölüdeniz, Türkiye’de Kangal Balıklı Kaplıcası ve İzlanda’da Mavi Lagün’dür. Balneoterapi ile başarılı bir şekilde tedavi edilen önemli dermatolojik hastalıklar, psöriazis ve atopik dermatittir. Balneoterapiden fayda gören birçok hastalıkta etki mekanizmaları tam olarak bilinmemektedir. Tedavi edici etkilerin, kimyasal, termal, mekanik ve immünmodülatör etkilerin bir araya gelmesinden kaynaklandığına inanılmaktadır.</p></abstract>
