                                                                                                                        <abstract><p>Amaç: Limbal gevşetici insizyonların preoperatif refraktif korneal astigmatizma üzerindeki düzeltici etkisini değerlendirmek. Gereç-Yöntem: Bu prospektif çalışmaya preoperatif korneal astigmatizma degerleri 1-2,5 dioptri arasında değişen ve kataraktlı 19 hastanın 19 gözü alındı. Tüm olgulara limbal gevşetici insizyon ile birlikte fakoemülsifikasyon uygulandı. Olguların refraktif korneal astigmatizması preoperatif, postoperatif 1. gün, 1. hafta, 1. ay ve 3. ay ölçüldü. Bulgular: Astigmatizma değerlerinde belirgin azalmaya ilk olarak postoperatif 1. ayda rastlandı (p &amp;lt; 0.01). Üçüncü ayda refraktif preoperatif korneal astigmatizmadaki azalma 0,55D (%49) oranında bulundu (p &amp;lt; 0.01). Hastaların hiçbirinde ciddi ameliyat komplikasyonu gelişmedi. Sonuç: Sonuç olarak limbal gevşetici insizyonla birlikte fakoemülsifikasyon refraktif korneal astigmatizmayı düzeltmede güvenilir, etkin ve tekrar edilebilir bir yöntemdir</p></abstract>
