Alkaptonüre bir çok eklemde artropatiye yol açabilen, nadir görülen herediter bir hastalıktır. Klinik bulgular dejeneratif hastalıklarla benzerlik göstermektedir. Çoğunlukla omurga ve ekstremitelerde büyük eklemleri tutar. Hastalığın tedavisinde kesinleşmiş bir görüş birliği mevcut değildir. Bu olguda, bel ağrısı tedavisinde fizik tedavinin etkinliğini ve dört yıllık takip sonuçlarını bildirmekteyiz
