Hz. Peygamberʼin hayatının son on yılına ve vahyin pratiklerini hayata geçirme faaliyetlerine tanık olan Medineʼye dair telif edilen İbn Zebâleʼye ait Ahbâruʼl-Medîne, İslâm dünyasındayazılan ilk şehir tarihlerindendir. Hicri II. yüzyıl gibi erken bir döneme aitolan eser, sonraki dönemde telif edilen başta Medine şehir tarihleri olmaküzere çeşitli alanlardaki eserlere kaynaklık etmesi nedeniyle büyük önemesahiptir. Ayrıca Ahbâruʼl-Medîne, hem muhtevası hem detarih yazıcılığı bakımından da sonraki dönem şehir tarihlerine etkidebulunmuştur. Eser bizatihi mevcut olmamasına rağmen kendisinden yapılan çoksayıda nakil sayesinde önemli kısmına ulaşmış bulunmaktayız. Bu çalışmamızdahem Ahbâruʼl-Medîne hem de şehirtarihçiliğine etkileri konusunu ele alacağız.
Ibn Zabala's Akhbār al-Madīna is the first city written in theIslamic world. This work contains the testimony of the last ten years of theProphet's life and the activities of reveling the practices of the revelations. The work dates fromthe second century of the Hijra and its importance is due to the fact that it isconsidered as the source of several works in different fields especially workson the history of Madīna. Akhbār al-Madīna also had affected the next periodlocal histories in the way of both the content and the historiography. Althoughthe work is not available, we managed to get a lot of it thanks to the manyquotes from it. In this presentation, we will discuss both Akhbār al-Madīna and its impacts to localhistoriography
