19. yüzyılın ilk çeyreğinden ortalarına kadar durağan bir görünüm çizen Azerbaycan edebiyatına, 1960’lı yılların başında faaliyet göstermeye başlayan bir grup yazar taze bir soluk olarak girmiş ve hareketlilik kazandırmıştır. Nitelik olarak zengin eserlerin kaleme alındığı bu döneme Yeni Nesir ya da 1960 Nesri gibi isimler verilmiştir. Birçok alanda zengin edebi üretimlerin yapıldığı bu dönemin en çok dikkat çeken isimlerinin başında Elçin Efendiyev gelmektedir. Efendiyev, edebiyatın pek çok türünde eser vermesi, akademiden siyasete kadar birçok alanda faaliyet göstermesiyle öne çıkmış ve kendi devri içinde çok yönlü kişiliğiyle dikkat çekmiştir. Eserlerinde yoğunlukla katı bir gerçekliğin yansıması görülen yazar, toplum içinde yolunda gitmeyen hadiseleri bütün hakikatiyle ortaya koyarken, insan psikolojisini, duygu ve düşüncelerini de büyük bir hassasiyetle yapıtlarında işlemiştir. Yazarın Ak Deve romanının konusu da, bu toplumsal-gerçekçi çizgiden hareketle; Bakü'de geleneksel ve muhafazakâr hayat sürmekte olan bir mahallenin, II. Dünya Savaşı'nın başlaması ile beraber yaşadığı değişim ve trajedidir. Mahalle, geleneksel hayatın yanı sıra Sovyet otoritesinin mecburi kıldığı yeni hayat tarzına uyum sağlamaya çalışırken; bir yandan da bu yeni düzenin beraberinde getirdiği siyasi baskılarla da çatışmaktadır. Efendiyev, eserlerinde kullandığı geniş folklorik malzemeyi, motif ve gözlemler yoluyla harmanlayarak bir kompozisyon oluşturmuş ve söz konusu mahalleyi canlı bir dekor haline getirmiştir. Romanda sıklıkla yer verilen çocuk oyunları, bayatılar, Dede Korkut sözleri ve tekerlemeler bu folklorik zenginliğin birer yansımasıdır. Bu çalışmada, Elçin Efendiyev’in, Ak Deve adlı romanı biçim ve içerik yönünden incelenmiş, metnin anlam kapsamını genişleten izleklere temas edilmiştir.
A group of writers who started to operate in the early 1960s entered the Azerbaijani literature, which had a stagnant appearance from the first quarter to the middle of the 19th century, and gained dynamism. This period, in which rich works were written, was given names such as New Prose or 1960 Nesri. Elçin Efendiyev is one of the most striking names of this period, in which rich literary productions were made in many fields. Efendiyev came to the fore with his work in many genres of literature, from academia to politics, and attracted attention with his versatile personality in his time. The author, whose work is mostly reflected in a rigid reality, has worked on human psychology, emotions and thoughts with great sensitivity while revealing the events that did not go well in society. The subject of the author's novel Ak Deve is based on this social-realist line; A neighborhood with traditional and conservative life in Baku, II. It is the change and tragedy he experienced with the beginning of the World War. While the neighborhood is trying to adapt to the traditional life as well as the new lifestyle imposed by the Soviet authority; On the other hand, it conflicts with the political pressures brought about by this new order. Efendiyev created a composition by blending the extensive folkloric material he used in his works through motifs and observations, and turned the neighborhood in question into a lively decor. Children's games, bayatıs, Dede Korkut words and rhymes frequently used in the novel are reflections of this folkloric richness. In this study, Elçin Efendiyev's novel named Ak Deve is examined in terms of form and content, and the themes that expand the scope of the text are tried to be touched.
