<p>Altai Turks, who constitute an important part of the Turkish world, are the indigenous people of the Altai Republic, that is located at the southern part of the Siberian geography. The geography where the Altai Turks, who are generally examined in two groups as the Northern Altai tribes and the Southern Altai tribes, live has been registered as the homeland of the Turks. This shows that the Altai Turks have an ancient historical past with a very rich cultural heritage. One of the most important parts of this ancient culture of Altay, which has been formed over the years, is the traditional clothes they wear. Traditional clothes have been a tool for transferring the cultural heritage of the Altai Turks from past to present by shedding light on the climatic conditions of the Altai geography and the customs, traditions, customs, economic situation and beliefs of the Altai people. In this article, it is aimed to examine the traditional clothing culture, which reveals many historical, social and economic characteristics of the Southern Altai tribes, based on the materials and colors used in making the clothes, and to determine the changes it has undergone from past to present.</p></trans-abstract>
