Each study sent to the Journal is checked for similarity by the editorial board.
Articles with an overall similarity rate of over 20% are sent back to the author without going through the referee process.
The similarity rate from a single source can be at most 3%.
Regardless of overall similarity rate, if a high percentage of block quotes are detected in a part of the manuscript, it will be sent back to the author.
The similarity report is applied with the "Exclude Bibliography: ON, Exclude Quotes: OFF, Exclude Matches: OFF" settings.
Editors check the similarity rate both at the beginning and at the end of the referee process.
