Orbital apex sendromu; optik kanal bölgesinde inflamatuar, infeksiyöz, neoplastik, travmatik, vasküler ve bazen iatrojenik nedenlere bağlı olarak 2,3,4 ve 6. kranial sinirler ile 5. kranial sinirin oftalmik dalının tutulumu ile karakterizedir. Tedavi altta yatan nedene bağlı olup biyopsi yol gösterici olabilir. Hemanjiomlar orbitanın en sık primer tümöral oluşumlarından olmasına rağmen ‘Orbital Apex Sendromu’nun bir nedeni olarak kavernöz hemanjiom saptanması oldukça nadirdir. Orbital Manyetik Rezonans Görüntüleme (MRG) kitlenin tanınmasında ve ayırıcı tanıda oldukça yararlıdır.Erken tanı ve cerrahi tedavi ile morbidite azaltılabilir.
