                            <p>The century we are in is ascribed as a cinematic century, in the fullest sense. Whereas movie theaters have not still expanded till to the remote points in rural areas today, cinema has taken a particular place in the private life of almost every single person, by means of internet, compact disks, video players and television. Those people who have worked on the creation of films aim to transfer a specific meaning to the audience by their works. No matter this particular meaning sometimes seems to be very obvious, it often presents a certain closure. To realize the transfer of that closed meaning, the specific elements of the film language, is rhetoric, certain symbols and images are employed. This paper contrives to point out the ways to reach the meaning signed by images and stated through that language and rhetoric.</p></trans-abstract>
                                                                                                                                    <abstract><p>İçinde bulunduğumuz yüzyılın tam anlamıyla sinematik bir yüzyıl olduğu öne sürülmektedir. Bugün kuş uçmaz kervan geçmez diye nitelenen uzak yerleşim birimlerine kadar henüzsinema salonları yaygınlaşmış olmasa da, internet, kompakt diskler, video çalarlar ve televizyonun aracılığıyla hemen her ferdin dünyasında sinema yer edinmiş durumdadır. Sinemasanatının eşsiz ürünleri olan filmler aracılığıyla o filme emek verenlerin hepsi belli bir anlamı seyirciye aktarmak isterler. İşte bu anlam kimi zaman çok açık gibi görünse de çoğu zaman belli bir kapalılık sergiler. Bu anlamın iletiminde sinemanın kendine mahsus dili, retoriği imgeler ve semboller işin içine girerler. Bu çalışma sözkonusu bu dil, retorik ve imgeler aracılığıyla imgelenen anlama ulaşmanın yollarına işaret etmeyi denemektedir.</p></abstract>
