Elektronikteknolojisindeki gelişmeler nedeniyle son yıllarda oldukça önem kazanan veuygulama alanı bulan, sesin ya da gürültünün oluşturulan değişik, çoğu kez dekarşıt hızlı bir ses ya da gürültü ile denetimi temel alan yaklaşımlar buçalışmada ele alınmaktadır. Sesin sesle etkin denetimi veya sesin yok edilmesiolarak bilinen yöntemlerin tarihçesi, dayandığı kuramsal temeller ve çeşitliuygulamaları tartışılmıştır.
