Analiz 2010-2025 yılları arasında Web of Science (WOS) veri tabanında indekslenen yayınlardan oluşmaktadır. Web of Science’da, “alzheimer disease&#039;s and microbiota” veya “alzheimer disease&#039;s and gut microbiota” veya “alzheimer disease&#039;s and microbiome” anahtar kelimeleri bir arada kullanılarak arama yapıldı.

<p>This study aims to perform a bibliometric analysis of research investigating the relationship between Alzheimer’s disease and gut microbiota. Publications indexed in the Web of Science (WOS) database between 2010 and July 2025 were analyzed. The search was conducted using the combined keywords “Alzheimer disease and microbiota,” “Alzheimer disease and gut microbiota,” and “Alzheimer disease and microbiome”. Data analysis and visualization were performed using VOSviewer software. Only research articles, which represented the largest publication type, were included. The analysis examined publication trends by year, journal distribution, citation impact, country productivity, frequently used keywords, and co-authorship networks. A total of 2,812 publications were identified, of which 1,543 were research articles. The year 2024 had the highest number of publications, and the People’s Republic of China ranked first in publication output. Studies from Turkey were found to be limited. According to WOS research areas, “Neuroscience” was the most common field, and the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease had the highest number of related publications. Overall, the findings indicate a rapidly growing interest in the connection between Alzheimer’s disease and the gut microbiota, particularly in recent years. However, research output from Turkey remains insufficient. This study provides valuable insights into current trends and research gaps, encouraging further investigation into this emerging and significant area of biomedical science.</p></trans-abstract>
