Scope MELLIFERA publishes articles about the biology of pollinatory insects belonging to the superfamily Apoidea mainly including apitherapy, bee products, behavior, ecology, entomopalynology, pollination, genetics, pathology, physiology, toxicology, and systematics subjects Easy Access “Easy Access” means that all papers in MELLIFERA will be made available online free of charge to anybody. Full-text articles can be easily accessed via: http://www.mellifera.hacettepe.edu.tr Editing and Peer Review Mellifera adopts a rapid processing and quality reviewing of manuscripts. Once the manuscript is submitted, it is pre-assessed by the editors and sent to two referees. After the papers are evaluated, they are then sent to the authors for revision. After the manuscript is accepted, the proof version is sent to the authors and they are asked to fill in the copyright forms. How to Submit Papers should be submitted in English and the manuscript should be sent in a single Microsoft Word document containing the text followed by figures and/or tables. Authors should send their manuscripts to the following address: mellifera@hacettepe.edu.tr Please do not send your manuscripts in pdf format. In order to complete your submission, please make sure to get a confirmation e-mail including your manuscript (MS) number.

“Easy Access” means that all papers in MELLIFERA will be made available online free of charge to anybody. Full-text articles can be easily accessed via:

Editing and Peer Review
Mellifera adopts a rapid processing and quality reviewing of manuscripts. Once the manuscript is submitted, it is pre-assessed by the editors and sent to two
referees. After the papers are evaluated, they are then sent to the authors for revision. After the manuscript is accepted, the proof version is sent to the authors and
they are asked to fill in the copyright forms.


How to Submit
Papers should be submitted in English and the manuscript should be sent in a single Microsoft Word document containing the text followed by figures and/or

Ethical Checklist
Prior to submission, the corresponding author should confirm the statements below:
1. All correspondence belongs to the corresponding author.
2. The manuscript has been read and approved by all authors.
3. Text and findings belong to the authors.
4. All authors declare that there is no actual or potential conflict of interest. This should be indicated in the Acknowledgements section.
5. The manuscript has not been published or is not under assessment for publication elsewhere.

Structure of Manuscript
Structure of manuscript should be established according to the article type as shown in Table 1.


Original Research Articles
Title*
Author (s) (Corresponding author must be indicated with asterisk*)
Author affiliation (Please use numbers for different addresses, e.g. 1, 2, etc.)

Abstract* (Maximum 200 words)
Keywords* (5-7 words)
Introduction
Material and Methods
Results and Discussion
Conclusion (It should emphasize the most important aspects of the study)
Acknowledgements (If the study is financially supported, please indicate the source in this part)
References
*Authors for whom Turkish is their primary language should also include the title, abstract (öz) and keywords (anahtar kelimeler) in Turkish


Review Articles
They should be no longer than 16 pages. Structure of review articles may depend on the authors decision nevertheless they should contain an abstract and keywords.


Proceedings of Scientific Meetings
They should only contain a title, author affiliations, an abstract and keywords, and should not exceed 400 words with no figures or tables.


Editorial Guests
Authors invited by the Editor-in-Chief may write an article about popular item or their expertise field. The structure of the manuscript will be decided upon the Editor-in-Chief’s choice.


Scientific Notes
They should contain no more than 1000 words and only 2 informative materials (Figure/Table) with 5–10 references and no subheadings.

Writing Format
– Manuscripts should be in clear and appropriate English language. Font should be Times New Roman, 12pt with 1.5 line spacing.
– Main sections should be bold (e.g. Introduction) Subheadings should be italic (e.g. sampling periods).
– Figures should be prepared in high resolution and JPEG format. Mellifera prints in black and white colour tone. If necessary, colour plates can be printed for the online version.–

References should be cited using Harvard style. Citation in text should be numbered according to the first mention of each source in the text (using the same number for subsequent references to the same source and place the number in parentheses. (e. g. [1], [2], [3,4], [5–10]). Literature cited in the text must be listed according mention order in the references in the following format:
