<p>This research aims to examine in depth the parental burnout experiences of fathers with children aged 3–6. The study was designed based on the phenomenological approach, one of the qualitative research methods. The study group consists of 16 volunteer fathers with children in the 3-6 age range, selected using the maximum variation sampling method. Research data were obtained through a personal information form and a semi-structured interview form developed by the researchers. The data were evaluated using the content analysis method. As a result of the data analysis, it was determined that fathers&#039; parental burnout is a multi-layered process with emotional, physical, and mental dimensions. In addition to individual factors such as the &quot;ideal of being a good father&quot; and perfectionism, environmental elements such as workload and economic responsibilities were found to be decisive in the emergence of burnout. Furthermore, it was observed that burnout affects fathers&#039; communication quality and patience threshold with their children; however, fathers develop various conscious self-regulation and compensatory parenting mechanisms along with cognitive reframing strategies to balance this situation. In conclusion, it was found that paternal burnout is shaped by the interaction of social roles and individual expectations, while support from the spouse and extended family is the most fundamental protective factor in this process.</p></trans-abstract>
