                                                                                                <abstract><p>Japon sosyal ve dinî yaşayışının önemli bir yönünü oluşturandinî bayramlar, uzun bir geçmişe sahip ve modern dünyada varlığınıdevam ettiren Japon kültürünün dikkate değer bir parçasını teşkiletmektedir. Dinlerdeki “kutsal zaman” kavramının Japon inancınayansıması niteliğinde olan dinî bayramlar bilinmezse, Japon kültürüve dinî yaşamını anlamak zorlaşacaktır. Çünkü Japoncada matsurikavramıyla karşılanan dinî bayramlar, Japon insanının geçmiştekiinançlarını, düşünce tarzını, tarımsal faaliyetlerin Japon yaşamındakideğerini, çocukların yetişmesine verilen önemi, üstün güç olarakinanılan varlıkların insanlar üzerindeki etkisini ve Japonlarındünya anlayışlarını en açık şekliyle göstermektedir. Bu çalışmanınamacı da, Japon dinî bayramlarının sosyal hayattaki yerini tespitetmek ve bu bayramların genel özelliklerini belirlemektir.</p></abstract>
