<p>Emotional contagion is a phenomenon that occurs when individuals consciously or unconsciously adopt the emotions of others. Just as in daily life, this process plays a significant role in the workplace. In particular, the emotional expressions of leaders, team members, and customer representatives can directly impact the mood and motivation of those around them. Therefore, emotional contagion influences interpersonal interactions and shapes critical factors such as organizational culture, collaboration, and performance. This study systematically employs bibliometric analysis to examine the academic literature on emotional contagion. By analysing scientific studies in the Web of Science database, the research explores the temporal development of emotional contagion studies, the disciplines in which they are concentrated, and the researchers who have contributed most to the field. The findings indicate that emotional contagion has received increasing attention in disciplines such as psychology, business, neuroscience, and social sciences in recent years. The results further reveal that emotional contagion facilitates emotional transmission between individuals and significantly affects workplace performance, employee engagement, and organizational efficiency. Consequently, greater emphasis should be placed on understanding how emotional contagion can be managed to foster a positive workplace atmosphere, enhance employee motivation, and build productive teams.</p></trans-abstract>
