<p>This study aims to analyse the new dynamics created by artificial intelligence in populist political campaigns, the advantages it offers to populist actors, and the fundamental problems that this process entails. The study adopts a qualitative research design drawing on interpretative and critical social science paradigms, utilizing methods such as literature analysis, comparative analysis of previous research, secondary data analysis, and document analysis. Its core problematic concerns how artificial intelligence transforms populist discourse and strategies, what concrete advantages it provides to populists, and what issues its use raises, particularly in the context of privacy, manipulation, and democratic accountability. Within this framework, the primary area of investigation is the interaction of populist strategies with artificial intelligence technologies and how this interaction reshapes political communication processes, especially through practices like voter targeting, message personalization, content generation, and disinformation dissemination. In conclusion, this study claims that artificial intelligence-supported populism is a complex and multidimensional phenomenon, presenting both transformative opportunities and significant practical risks for democratic participation, the quality of public debate, and the fairness of electoral processes.</p></trans-abstract>
