                                                                                                <abstract><p>The effects of the Covid-19 pandemic process on the sectoral distribution of card payment transactions made over the internet in the country were analyzed with the variance decomposition model, and the differences between the pre-Covid (June 2019 - March 2020) period and the post-Covid (April 2020 - January 2022) period were revealed. The sectors with the highest increase in domestic use (transaction amount) of domestic cards (in terms of their share in the total card usage) were electrical, electronic goods, computers, markets and shopping centers, while the sectors that decreased the most were petrol and fuel stations, airlines, travel agencies and transportation. telecommunications industries. The sectors that showed the highest increase in domestic use of domestic cards (number of transactions) (in terms of their share in total card usage) were various food, electrical, electronic goods, computers, markets and shopping centers, while the sectors that decreased the most were clothing and accessories, airlines, services. sectors, travel agencies, transportation and telecommunication sectors.</p></abstract>
