</trans-abstract>

While liberalism seemed to have triumphed over the socialist system in the West during the 1990s, it faced a serious legitimacy problem within itself. Indeed, while liberalization and globalization have led to an increase in different life forms within a society, it has become clear that the question of how citizens with different conceptions of good life can live together in a fair society has not been adequately answered. Contemporary liberal theory has embarked on a search for new answers based on the principle of neutrality. Liberal states that adopt the principle of neutrality and their legal systems concretizing their discussions of diversity and inclusion through their practices. In this study present the approach of the state and liberal legal norms and practices, which are based on the principles of liberal neutrality, towards differences. However, before moving on to this, the basic concepts of difference and neutrality in contemporary liberal theory will be addressed.
</trans-abstract>

</abstract>
