Korykos’da, M.S. 6. ve 7. yüzyılın ortaları arasına tarihlenen Late Roman 1 amphoralarının B formuna ait ağız, boyun ve kulp parçalarından oluşan çok sayıda örnek bulunmuştur. Ayrıca LR1 amphoralarına ait bir tıpa da ele geçmiştir. LR1 amphoralarının üretim alanları olarak Rhodos, Kıbrıs, Kilikia ve Antiocheia çevresi tespit edilmiştir. Korykos’da bu amphora formunun üretime yönelik izler, kazı çalışmalarının henüz yapılmamış olması nedeniyle saptanamamıştır. Fakat KwrÚkou yazılı amphora mühürleriyle birlikte şarap ve zeytinyağı üretimine işaret eden yazıtlar ve tarımsal yapılanmalar, kentte bu form grubunun üretiminin yapılmış olabileceğini ortaya koymaktadır. Akdeniz ve Karadeniz Havzaları’ndaki kazılarda yoğun bulunan Kilikia LR1 amphoraları arasında, Korykos üretimi LR1 örnekleri de olmalıdır
Surveys in Korykos have produced a large quantity of rims, necks and handles related to form B of Late Roman 1 amphoras dated to the sixth and seventh centuries A.D. While production centers of LR 1 amphoras have been identified in Rhodes, Cyprus and Antioch on the Orontes, there is no evidence so far for the production of this type of vessels in Cilicia itself. Scattered evidence from Korykos, especially an amphora stamp inscribed KwrÚkou and future excavations in Cilicia however have the potential to improve our understanding of this important ceramic type which were found largely in the excavations in Mediterranean and Black Sea.
