The study was carried out to determine theeffect of central leader training system on growth, yield and quality inpeaches at Black Sea Agricultural Research Institute in 2011-2015. In theexperiment Redhaven / peach seedling and Elegant Lady / seedling combinationswere used as materials. The nursery trees were planted in February 2011. In thetrial, central leader system was compared with goblet in peaches. Some treegrowth traits of examined combinations such as tree diameter, tree length,crown of length and tree volume were determined. Some fruit properties of themsuch as fruit weight and total soluble solid were also determined. The results havebeen observed to be better than Goble system.

Bu çalışma şeftalilerde merkezi liderterbiye sisteminin büyüme, verim ve kalite üzerine etkilerini belirlemek için2011-2015 yıllarında Karadeniz Tarımsal Araştırma Enstitüsünde yürütülmüştür.Denemede çöğür anacına aşılı Redhaven ve Elegant Lady şeftali çeşitlerikullanılmış ve fidanlar 2011 yılı Şubat ayında dikilmiştir. Araştırmada merkezilider terbiye sistemi ile Goble terbiye sistemi karşılaştırılmıştır. Denemeyealınan ağaçlarda; ağaç çapı (mm), ağaç boyu (m), taç boyu (m) ve taç hacmi (m3)belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca araştırmada ağaçbaşına verim, meyve ağırlığı (g) ve suda çözünebilir kuru madde (SÇKM) içeriğide saptanmıştır. Denemede Elegant Lady çeşidi merkezi lider terbiyesistemindeki ağaçların meyve ağırlığı, verim ve SÇKM değerleri bakımından Goblesistemindekinden daha iyi sonuçlar verdiği tespit edilmiştir.
