                                                                                                                        <abstract><p>Bu çalışmada, Hollanda Protestan okullarında verilen din eğitimi incelenmektedir. Araştırma, ilköğretim seviyesinde verilen eğitimle sınırlıdır. Hollanda’daki okulların devlet okulu ve özel okul (vakıf okulu) olarak ikiye ayrıldığı bilinmektedir. Çalışmada öncelikle dini temele dayalı bir Protestan özel okulu (vakıf okulu) olan Amsterdam De Hildebrand- van Loonschool ilköğretim okulu tahlil edilmektedir. Okulun genel eğitimi incelendiğinde, din eğitimine daha çok okul içinde ve dışında yapılan aktivite veya kutlamalar yardımıyla yön verildiği görülmektedir. Daha sonra Protestanların ülkede nasıl bir din eğitimi anlayışına sahip olduğu konusu araştırılmıştır. Yapılan araştırma neticesinde, Protestanların en sık kullandığı metodun “sembollerle din eğitimi” olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Sembollerle din eğitiminde genellikle; su, kuş, ev, ağaç, ışık ve karanlık gibi temalar kullanılmaktadır. Bu süreçte üzerinde en çok durulan değer ise Hz. İsa’dır. Temaların çocuklar için eğlenceli ve özünde Hristiyanlık temelli değerlerle zenginleştirildiği anlaşılmaktadır. Verilen din eğitiminde öğrencilerden hislerini veya tecrübelerini dile getirmeleri beklenmektedir. Böylece çocukların kendi yaratıcılıkları ve hayal güçleriyle sembollerle din eğitimine katılmaları teşvik edilerek, daha etkin ve kalıcı bir din eğitimi anlayışına geçiş amaçlanmaktadır. Ayrıca verilen din eğitiminde çocukların oyuna olan ilgisi de bir öğretim metodu olarak kullanılmaktadır. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmış, incelenen dokümanların betimlemesi ve yorumlaması yapılmıştır.</p></abstract>

                            <p>This study examines religious education in Protestant schools in the Netherlands. The research is limited to primary education. It is known that schools in the Netherlands are divided into two categories: public schools and private schools (foundation schools). The study first analyzes the Amsterdam De Hildebrand-van Loonschool primary school, a Protestant private school (foundation school) with a religious basis. An examination of the school&#039;s general education reveals that religious education is largely guided by activities and celebrations held both inside and outside the school. Next, the Protestant understanding of religious education in the country is investigated. The research found that the most frequently used method by Protestants is &quot;religious education through symbols.&quot; Symbolic religious education generally employs themes such as water, birds, houses, trees, light, and darkness. The most frequently emphasized value in this process is Jesus. It is understood that these themes are fun for children and enriched with Christian-based values. In the religious education provided, students are expected to express their feelings and experiences. This encourages children to participate in religious education through symbols, using their own creativity and imagination, aiming transition to a more effective and lasting understanding of religious education. Furthermore, children&#039;s interest in play is used as a teaching method in religious education. The study employed qualitative research methods, and the documents examined were described and interpreted.</p></trans-abstract>
