Follow-up Results in Ocular Hypertensive Patients
Ocular hypertension, a relatively common and benign condition in patients over 40 years, is characterised by an intraocular pressure of 21 mmHg or higher, which accompanied by normal visual fields and optic discs. This article presented results of a 4 - year follow-up of 18 ocular hypertensive cases and emphasized that only one patient developed glaucomatous visual field loss during this period.
Optic disc angiography seems to be a prognostic method capable of determination and initiation of therapy for the ocular hypertensive, who would develop glaucomatous transformaton.
