Summary
Cerebral potentials to the stimulation of the median nerve in multiple sclerosis
Somatosensory evoked cerebral potentials to the stimulation of the median nerve at the wrist level were recorded in 25 normal subjects and 36 patients, classified as definite and probable multiple sclerosis according to the clinical cri¬teria .Abnormal findings were encountered in 76 percent of the cases classified as definite and 60 percent of those classified as probable. The absence of components was the most common abnormality.Interside differences and prolon¬gation of the N1 and P1 peak latancies were the other but less freguent findings.
