COMPUTERIZED CRANIAL TOMOGRAPHY FINDINGS IN MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS
In this paper, computerized tomography findings in 35 multiple sclerosis patients who were classified as definite and probable according to clinical criteria were presented. Abnormal finding or findings were encountered in 19 cases (54 percent). Cerebral and/or cerebellar atrophy was the most common abnormality. We encountered this abnormality in 13 cases (37 %). The other but less frequent finding was hypodense lesions which showed periventricular localizations. This abnormality was observed in 7 cases (20 %). We found periventricular lesions which showed contrast enhancement in. one patient who was admitted to out: clinic with multiple sclerosis attack.
