SUMMARY
DETECTION OF CHLAMYDIA TRACHOMATIS INFECTION IN WOMEN WHO HAS CERVISITIS
Chlamydia Trachomatis is the most common sexually transmitted disease especially in western society today,
and is a major cause of pelvic inflammatory disease, tubal infertility. Chlamydial infection also is a common cause of morbidity among infants. At the maternity Hospital in Samsun, a group of 95 women aged 16-55 years who has evidence of urogenital infection on physical examination were examined for the concurrent present of C.trachomatis-Positive tests for C.trachomatis were found, in 3(2.85 %). We discussed briefly the incidence clinical findings and diagnosis of Chlamydia Trachomatis infection in women who had cervicitis.
ÖZET
Chlamydia Trachomatis bugünlerde özellikle batı toplum¬larında, seksüel yolla bulaşan, çok sık rastlanan bir hasta¬lıktır. Pelvik enfiamatuar hastalığın, tubal infertilitenin ve infant morbiditesinin önemli sebeplerinden biridir. Samsun Doğran ve Çocuk Bakımevinde muayene edilen 16-55 yaş grubundaki 95, urogenital enfeksiyon bulguları olan olgu¬lardan alınan endoservikal spesmenlerin sadece % 2.85 (3)"inde pozitif Chlamydia Trachomatis enfeksiyonu saptan¬dı. Bulgular literatür verileri ile tartışıldı.
