After early repair of congenital cardiovascular defects, such as total1 anomalous pulmonary venous drainage, transposition of the great arteries, interrupted aortic arch and coarctation of the aorta, oi after some operations during the pediatric ages as shunts, transplantations, late stenosis may become a problem. Use of absorbable sutures has been shovm to be superior to use of nonabsorbable sutures in allowing growth of an anastomotic site along with the individual
