Abstract
Somatosensory evoked potentials
i/ Evoked potentials are defined as computer averaged electric responses of the nervous sys¬tem to sensory stimulations. Different types of evoced potentials (EPs) can be distinguis¬hed by stimulus modality: visuel EPs, auditory EPs and somatosensory EPs. EPs are used to test conduction through sensory pathways. The definition, methods of stimulating and recording and significance of somatosensory evoked potentials are rewieved in this article.
Uyarılmış potansiyeller, duyusal stimulasyonlara sinir sisteminin komputür vasıtasıyla averajlanan elektriksel cevaplardır. Stimulasyonun cinsine göre farklı tipde uyarılmış po¬tansiyeller gelişir: görsel uyarılmış potansiyeller, işitsel uyarılmış potansiyeller ve somato¬sensoriyel uyarılmış potansiyeller. Uyarılmış potansiyeller duyu organlarında iletimi test etmek için kullanılır. Bu makalede somatosensoriyel uyarılmış potansiyelin tanımı, stimulasyon ve kayıtlama metodlan ve önemi gözden geçirilmiştir.
