<p>Methodological approaches that consider the concept of big data are emerging in communication studies. In this regard, combined usage of content analysis and text mining were observed. This approach presents potential to obtain real-time findings, evaluate large data sets, and obtain effective results. This study aims to present how text mining can be systematically integrated into the deductive content analysis process. In the study, a deductive content analysis process based on text mining is proposed. This process can provide researchers with a methodological roadmap that can be applied to digital text data in different contexts, with different softwares, without high technical skill requirements. In this context, the stages of content analysis have been reviewed, the deductive content analysis approach was discussed, a process was developed in the light of the researcher&#039;s past experiences and preliminary research on how traditional content analysis approaches can be realized with text mining processes.</p></trans-abstract>
