                            <p>Technology Development Zones (TDZs) are crucial for fostering innovation and technological advancement by bridging the gap between research and commercialization. This study evaluates the efficiency of 32 TDZs in Türkiye using a two-stage Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) model. The analysis incorporates both technical and scale efficiency to assess the overall performance of these zones. The results reveal that high-performing TDZs, such as DMU23 and DMU32, exhibit optimal resource utilization and strong innovation management, while low-performing zones, including DMU4 and DMU17, demonstrate significant inefficiencies. The study further highlights the need for strategic improvements, particularly in resource allocation and R&amp;D support, to enhance the effectiveness of underperforming zones. These findings align with the performance assessments conducted by the Ministry of Industry and Technology and provide actionable insights for improving TDZ management and contributing to Türkiye’s technological and economic development.</p></trans-abstract>
                                                                                                                                    <abstract><p>Teknoloji Geliştirme Bölgeleri (TGB&#039;ler), araştırma ve ticarileştirme arasındaki boşluğu doldurarak inovasyon ve teknolojik ilerlemeyi teşvik eden kritik yapılardır. Bu çalışmada, Türkiye’deki 32 TGB’nin etkinliği iki aşamalı Veri Zarflama Analizi (VZA) modeli ile değerlendirilmiştir. Analiz, bu bölgelerin teknik ve ölçek etkinliğini değerlendirerek genel performanslarını ölçmektedir. Sonuçlar, DMU23 ve DMU32 gibi yüksek performanslı TGB&#039;lerin kaynakları verimli bir şekilde kullandığını ve güçlü bir yenilik yönetimi sergilediğini, DMU4 ve DMU17 gibi düşük performanslı bölgelerin ise önemli verimsizlikler gösterdiğini ortaya koymaktadır. Çalışma, özellikle kaynak tahsisi ve AR-GE desteği alanlarında stratejik iyileştirmelere ihtiyaç olduğunu vurgulamaktadır. Bu bulgular, Sanayi ve Teknoloji Bakanlığı tarafından yapılan performans değerlendirmeleriyle uyumlu olup, TGB yönetiminin iyileştirilmesi ve Türkiye’nin teknolojik ve ekonomik gelişimine katkı sağlanması için önemli içgörüler sunmaktadır.</p></abstract>
