Specifically, reliance on fossil fuels leads to substantial indirect carbon emissions from on-campus energy consumption. This study investigates strategies to reduce the carbon footprint (CF) of Necmettin Erbakan University in Konya, Türkiye. The research evaluates the potential benefits of integrating PV and ESS into the campus grid. The study first analyzes the university&#039;s current energy consumption profile and associated carbon emissions. Subsequently, it examines the impact of PV and ESS integration on the CF as a mitigation strategy. Findings reveal that the university&#039;s annual CF is 3,239.191 t CO2eq. The integration of a 1000 kVA PV system can reduce this value to 2,178.880 t CO2eq, while the addition of an ESS of equivalent power further decreases the CF to 208.740 t CO2eq. When the life cycle analysis (LCA) of the PV and ESS is included, the total emissions amount to 1,042.370 t CO2eq. These results demonstrate that the appropriate integration of PV and ESS can significantly mitigate the university&#039;s CF. The findings also underscore the necessity of a comprehensive LCA-driven approach for developing energy efficiency and sustainability strategies.</p>
