                                                                                                <abstract><p>Fiber optik haberleşme uygulamaları için Fiber Raman Yükselteçleri (FRY) yüksek band genişliklerinden dolayı oldukça çekicidir. Fiber Raman yükselteçler, Uyarılmış Raman Saçılmasını (URS) kullanır. URS’de enerji, pompalama ışınından sinyal ışınına transfer edilir ve bu iki ışın optik fiber boyunca birlikte ilerler. Bu çalışmada, 1525 nm – 1575 nm arasındaki giriş sinyalleri, 600 mW güçte, ileri ve geri yönde ve iki yönde (her biri 300 mW güçte pompa lazerleri ile) 1450 nm dalga boyunda pompalanarak, pompalama yönlerinin sinyal kazancı üzerindeki etkisi incelenmiştir. Simulasyon sonuçları en yüksek sinyal kazancının geri yönde pompalama kullanıldığında gerçekleştiğini göstermiştir.</p></abstract>

                            <p>Fiber Raman Amplifiers (FRA) are attractive for optical fiber communication systems due to having broad bandwidths. Fiber Raman Amplifiers use the Stimulated Raman Scattering (SRS). In SRS, the energy is transferred from the pump beam to the signal beam as the two beams co propagates along the optical fiber. In this study, the effect of pumping directions to the signal gain are examined for the input signal wavelengths of varying 1525 nm to 1575 nm, for the power of 600 mW forward, backward, and bidirectional (300 mW for each pump) 1450 nm pump signals. Simulation results show that the highest signal gain achieved in the backward pumping case</p></trans-abstract>
