Threats And Provocations Originating From The Republic Of Armenia Towards The Water Resources Of The Republic Of Azerbaijan

Abstract

Ecological irresponsibility and ecological terrorism are concepts discussed both in terms of ecology and politics. While ecological irresponsibility entails negligence of varying magnitude on part of an actor that results in environmental harm or destruction, ecological terrorism involves an actor deliberately damaging a country 's flora and fauna and destroying its natural resources for specific purposes. For more than 25 years, the Republic of Azerbaijan has suffered from the ecological harm and destruction committed by its western neighbor, the Republic of Armenia. At present, the aggression of Armenia against Azerbaijan is carried out in different ways, morphing from a hot war involving active armed struggle to a cold war phase. This irresponsible and belligerent policy pursued by Armenia against Azerbaijan has cybercrime aspects, and has implications in ideological, scientific, cultural, moral and social spheres. Polluting of the rivers, which form the sources of drinking water of Azerbaijan, by chemical, biological, and radioactive waste has a continuous character. This factor deeply violates the right of the regional population to live securely.
