The five-volume editorial work titled “Din Felsefesinin Ana Konuları -İslam Düşüncesinden Seçme Metinler-” aims to compile the contributions of classical Islamic thought to the field of philosophy of religion within a thematic framework. Each volume consists of selected texts organized under headings corresponding to contemporary philosophical issues. The texts not only reflect the historical and intellectual context of the subjects they address but also attempt to establish connections with modern philosophical debates. Topics such as the relationship between reason and revelation, revelation itself, miracles, the existence of God, divine attributes, religious pluralism, and life after death are explored through texts representing various sects and intellectual traditions. While the work stands out for its faithful translations and, at times, robust editorial commentaries, it also contains limitations regarding the scope of its selections. Nevertheless, the compilation offers a significant contribution to the Turkish literature on the philosophy of religion and holds considerable pedagogical value as instructional material.
“Din Felsefesinin Ana Konuları -İslam Düşüncesinden Seçme Metinler-” başlıklı beş ciltlik editöryal çalışma, klasik İslam düşüncesinin din felsefesi alanına sunduğu katkıları tematik bir yapı içerisinde derlemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Her cilt, modern felsefî sorunlara karşılık gelen başlıklar altında seçilmiş metinlerden oluşur. Metinler, ilgili konuya dair tarihsel ve düşünsel bağlamı yansıttığı gibi çağdaş felsefî tartışmalarla da ilişkilendirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Din-akıl ilişkisi, vahiy, mucizeler, Tanrı’nın varlığı, ilahi sıfatlar, dini çoğulculuk ve ölüm sonrası hayat gibi meseleler, çeşitli mezheplerden ve düşünce geleneklerinden metinlerle tartışmaya açılmıştır. Eser, kavram sadakatine özenli çeviriler ve yer yer güçlü editöryal açıklamalarla dikkat çekerken, seçki kapsamı açısından sınırlılıklar barındırmaktadır. Bununla birlikte çalışma, Türkçe din felsefesi literatürüne önemli bir katkı sunmakta ve öğretim materyali olarak pedagojik potansiyel taşımaktadır.
