                                                                                                <abstract><p>Bu çalışmada etik beslenme pratikleri bağlamından hareketle boykot listesinde olan gıda ürünlerinin felsefi değerlendirmesi yapılacaktır. Gıdanın, maddi bir tüketim nesnesinden öte etik ve politik bir anlam taşıdığı varsayımından hareket ederek, soykırım, işgal veya etnik temizlik gibi insan haklarına uygun olmayan bazı politikalara dayalı dolaylı ya da doğrudan bu suça katkı sağlayan gıda ürünlerinin “temiz gıda” olarak kabul edilemeyeceğini ileri sürmekteyim. Gıda tüketimi bu nedenle biyolojik bir süreçten fazlasıdır.  Beslenmenin kültürel, dini, tıbbi, etik boyutları olduğu gibi politik bir anlamı da vardır. Bu tür bir tartışma literatürde etik tüketim (ethical consumption), tüketici etiği (consumer ethics), etik farkındalık (ethical awareness), gıda adaleti (food justice), gıda politikası kavramından farklı olarak, politik gıda (political food), gıda kapitalizmi (food capitalism), gıda emperyalizmi (food imperialism), gıda sömürgeciliği (food colonialism), gıda ve güç ilişkileri (food and power relations) ve aynı zamanda bir kitap ismi de olan Gıda Üzerinden Direniş (Resistance Through Food) kavramları üzerinden ele alınmaktadır. Bu kavramlardan yola çıkarak çalışmanın temel iddiası, gıda maddesinin sağlığa zararlı olup olmaması meselesi kadar hangi ekonomik, ideolojik ya da askeri yapıların sürdürülmesine hizmet ettiği sorusunun da etik bir mesele olmasıdır. Bu anlamda beslenmeye dair epistemolojik sınırlar, İslam düşüncesinde yer alan “içki üretiminin, satılmasının, taşınmasının, içirilmesinin, satılması ve satın alınmasının” yasaklanması ilkesine atıfla, etik sorumluluğun sadece son tüketiciyle sınırlı kalmayan bir ahlaki daire içinde düşünülmesi gerektiğidir. Gıda ürünlerinin üretim, dağıtım ve tüketime kadar uzanan zincirinde yer alan her bir halkada ortaya çıkan etik sorunlar, bir ürünün helal, temiz ya da mübah sayılabilmesi önünde engeller oluşturabilmektedir. Bu tanımlamalar konuyu açıklayabilmek için bilinen kavramlar üzerinden ele alınmakta ama bu hukuki değil etik zeminde tartışılmaktadır. Diğer bir yaklaşım, gıda maddelerinin içerikleri yanı sıra üretim ve dağıtım zincirlerindeki politik ve etik ilişkilere de dikkat edilmesi gerekliliği ve tüketicinin sorumluluğunun tüketmekle sınırlı olmadığıdır. Bilakis tüketim tercihiyle desteklenen yapıların, ideolojilerin küresel ölçekte mazlum halklar üzerinde yıkıcı etkiler oluşturabileceği bir gerçekliktir. Bu nedenle etik beslenme anlayışı, adalet, sorumluluk ve farkındalık gibi ahlaki ilkeler temelinde şekillenmelidir. Çalışmada genel olarak etik beslenme tercihlerinin bir erdem olarak sorumluluk bilinciyle şekillenmesi gerektiğini ortaya koymayı, spesifik olarak ise boykot gıda maddelerinin “temiz” sayılamayacağının kanıtlanması amaçlanmaktadır.  Savunulan temel argümanın soykırım, sömürgecilik, işgal ya da insan hakları ihlalleriyle doğrudan ya da dolaylı bağlantısı bulunan hiçbir gıda ürününün etik açıdan etik-dışı sayılacağı ve temiz sayılamayacağı ve bunun da hadis kaynaklarından yola çıkarak ispatlanacağı üzerinde durulmaktadır. Özellikle etik beslenmenin, neyin yenilip yenmeyeceğine dair bir meseleyi aşarak, beslenme tercihlerinin hangi yapıları sürdürdüğünü, kimlere zarar veya fayda verdiğini hesaba katan ahlaki bir sorgulama alanı olduğunu göstermeyi amaçlamaktadır.</p></abstract>

                            <p>This study offers a philosophical evaluation of food products listed for boycott within the context of ethical dietary practices. It is based on the premise that food is not merely a material object of consumption but also bears ethical and political significance. Accordingly I argue that food products which directly or indirectly contribute to policies of genocide, occupation, or ethnic cleansing -practices incompatible with fundamental human rights -cannot be regarded as “clean” or ethically permissible. Therefore food consumption is more than a biological process; it carries cultural, religious, medical, ethical, and political dimensions. This discussion moves beyond conventional concepts such as ethical consumption, consumer ethics, ethical awareness, food justice or food policy, and instead draws upon critical notions such as political food, food capitalism, food imperialism, food colonialism, food and power relations and resistance through food. Based on these concepts, the central argument of this study is that the primary ethical concern is not whether a food item is harmful to health, but rather what kinds of economic, ideological or military structures it helps to sustain. From this perspective, the epistemological boundaries of dietary ethics are explored through the Islamic principle that not only the consumption, but also the production, sale, transportation and promotion of forbidden items such as alcohol are impermissible. This suggests that ethical responsibility should not be confined to the end consumer but understood as a moral continuum encompassing the entire food chain -from production and distribution to consumption. At each of these stages, ethical violations may render a food item unclean, forbidden or morally impermissible. Although the discussion refers to known theological concepts for explanatory purposes, the analysis remains grounded in ethics rather than legalism. A key implication is that food ethics must include an awareness of the political and moral implications of production and distribution networks, as the consumer’s role in these systems may contribute to global injustices. The study aims to demonstrate, broadly, that ethical food choices must be shaped by principles of justice, responsibility and moral awareness, and more specifically, that food items contributing to oppression cannot be deemed “clean”. The central claim is that any food product associated—directly or indirectly—with genocide, colonialism, occupation or violations of human rights should be deemed ethically impure, and this argument will be supported through Islamic prophetic traditions (ḥadith). Ultimately, the study seeks to reframe ethical eating as a site of moral inquiry: not merely about what is eaten, but about what social, political, and economic systems are maintained or challenged through eating.</p></trans-abstract>
