Al-Bahr al-Madid written by Ibn Ajiba, who was among the interpreters of the last period, is a vital tafsir book that brought together the literal interpretation and the ishari comment. In his tafsir, he deals with the issue of the khabari (scriptural) attributes as well as many other topics. He considers the Khabari attributes as mutashabih verses and advises interpreting them accordingly. According to him, these verses should not be interpreted as attributing organs to Allah. In addition, he handles and interprets the verses in question allusively. In his ishari comments, he places the purification of the soul and spiritual closeness to Allah at the center. According to him, a person becomes closer to Allah to the extent that he can cope with his nafs (lower self). Our research focuses on Ibn Ajiba’s approach to some khabari attributes. The subject will be discussed and analysed in the context of his tafsir al-Bahr al-Madid. In our research, we aim to reveal how the verses related to the khabari attributes are handled and analysed primarily in the context of ishari exegesis. In doing so, the literal meaning of the verse and then its allusive meaning will be discussed.
Son dönemin müfessirleri arasında yer alan İbn Acîbe’nin el-Bahrü’l-medîd’i, zahirî tefsir ile işârî yorumu bir araya getiren önemli bir tefsir eseridir. İbn Acîbe, tefsirinde birçok konuya değindiği gibi haberî sıfatlar meselesini de ele almaktadır. O, haberî sıfatları müteşâbih ayetlerden kabul etmekte ve buna uygun olarak yorumlanmasını salık vermektedir. Ona göre bu ayetler Allah’a uzuv nispet edecek şekilde yorumlanmamalıdır. Bunun yanında o, söz konusu ayetleri işârî tarzda ele alıp yorumlamaktadır. İşârî yorumlamalarında ise merkeze nefs tezkiyesini ve Allah’a mânen yakın olmayı koymaktadır. Zira ona göre insan nefsiyle baş edebildiği ölçüde Allah’a yakın olur. Araştırmamız İbn Acîbe’nin bazı haberî sıfatlara yaklaşımını konu edinmektedir. Onun el-Bahru’l-medîd adlı tefsiri bağlamında konu ele alınıp incelenecektir. Araştırmamızda haberî sıfatlarla ilgili âyetlerin daha ziyade işârî tefsir bağlamında ne şekilde ele alınıp incelendiğini ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktayız. Bunu yaparken de önce ayetin zahirî anlamına, peşi sıra işârî mânasına başvurulacaktır.
