<p>This study aims to examine postgraduate theses focusing on the use of mobile applications in nursing in Turkey using a descriptive content analysis method. Data were obtained from a search conducted between July 17 and August 2, 2024, using the keyword &quot;mobil uygulama&quot; in the National Thesis Center of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK Thesis) database. The 63 theses were classified according to their type, year of publication, university type, affiliated nursing departments, research designs, sample groups, intended use of mobile applications, and effectiveness evaluations. The obtained data were analyzed using the SPSS 20.0 statistical analysis program. The study found that the number of theses examined increased over the last seven years (2017–2024), with 77.7% of the studies published, particularly in the last two years. While master&#039;s level studies (n=1) remained quite limited in 2024, it was determined that 65.2% of doctoral theses were concentrated in the last two years. 22.2% of the theses were master&#039;s level, and 77.8% were doctoral level. 35.7% of master&#039;s theses and 74.6% of doctoral theses were conducted using experimental designs. 63.4% of the theses were conducted with adult individuals diagnosed with chronic diseases. In addition, the effectiveness of mobile applications was evaluated in 35.7% of the theses, and this rate reached 95.9% in doctoral theses. 42.3% of the theses examined focused on health promotion and quality of life. In Turkey, the vast majority of postgraduate theses on mobile applications in nursing are conducted at the doctoral level, using experimental methods and involving individuals with chronic diseases. Accordingly, it is recommended that research on mobile application-based interventions be increased, particularly in these understudied areas that directly impact clinical outcomes, and that further research be conducted to integrate this academic knowledge into clinical practice guidelines.</p></trans-abstract>
