Bu çalışma Osmanlı dönemi hayırseverlik faaliyetlerinden Hz. Peygamber (s.a.s.) ile ilgili olan vakıf uygulamalarını konu edinmektedir. Çalışmanın amacı, Hz. Peygamber (s.a.s.) ile ilgili olup halk dindarlığında önemli bir yeri bulunan bu vakıfların çeşitliliğini ve yaygınlığını göstermektir. Konuyla ilgili birincil kaynak olan vakfiyeler, belge tarama yöntemiyle şer’iyye sicilleri, arşiv kayıtları ve basılı kaynaklardan istifade edilerek tespit edilmiştir. İncelenen vakıf türlerine örnek teşkil edecek şekilde Anadolu ve Balkan coğrafyasında farklı yüzyıllardaki uygulamaları göstermek üzere belge seçimi yapılmıştır. Öncelikle Kur’ân-ı Kerîm’in tilaveti ve sevabının Hz. Peygamber’e (s.a.s.) hediye edilmesi şeklinde uygulanan tilâvet vakıfları ve Mevlid, Muhammediyye, Mi’râciyye, Delâil-i Hayrât, Buhârî-i Şerîf ve Şifâ-i Şerîf kitaplarının belirli zamanlarda okunmasına yönelik yapılan kıraat vakıfları ele alınmıştır. Hz. Peygamber (s.a.s.) ile ilgili vakıf türlerinin tamamı bunlardan ibaret olmayıp hadis öğretimi için müstakil kurumlar olan dârülhadisler ile Haremeyn ve surre vakıfları da bu kapsamda işlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak bu çalışmada, Osmanlı toplumsal yaşamında Hz. Peygamber (s.a.s.) ile ilgili ne tür vakıflara yer verildiğinin tespiti yapılmış ve her birine dair örnekler sunulmuştur. Söz konusu vakıfların topluma nasıl bir katkı sağladığı açıklanmıştır. Bu sayede Hz. Peygamber (s.a.s.) sevgi ve muhabbetinin toplumsal hayatta ne denli canlı olduğu ve toplumsal birlikteliği kenetleyici bir işlev yüklendiği ortaya konulmuştur.
This study deals with the waqf practices related to the Prophet (pbuh), which is among the philanthropic activities of the Ottoman period. The aim of study is to show the diversity and prevalence of these waqfs which are related to the Prophet (pbuh) and have an important place in folk piety. The primary source on the subject, waqfiyas, were determined by using the document scanning method sharia registers, archive records and printed sources. Document selection was made to show the practices in different centuries in Anatolia and the Balkan geography, as an example to the types of foundations examined. First of all, the tilavet waqfs, which were applied as the tilavet of the Qur’an and the gift of its reward to the Prophet (pbuh), and the recitation waqfs that are made to read the Mawlid Muhammadiyya Mirajiyya Delail al-KHayrat al-Bukhari al-Sharif and al-Shifa al-Sharif books at certain times have been discussed. Types of waqfs related to the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) are not limited to these. Darul-hadiths, which are independent institutions for teaching hadith, and Haremeyn and surre waqfs are also covered in this contex. As a result, in this study, it was determined what kind of waqfs about the Prophet (pbuh) were included in the Ottoman social life and examples of each of them were presented. It has been explained how these waqfs contribute to the society. In this way, it has been revealed how lively the love and affection of the Prophet (pbuh) was in social life and that it assumed a clamping function for social unity.
