<p>Sewing and embroidery, usually attributed to women, are known to have artistic and social impact in various parts of the world. The subject of this article is arpilleras, women&#039;s silent means of resistance against political oppression. Arpilleras, in which stories are embroidered with pieces of fabric, embroidery and textiles, have become a special art form in which ordinary women&#039;s suffering, loss and the search for justice are transformed into powerful symbolism and creative expressions. The aim of this article is to discuss the role of arpilleras as a means of women&#039;s self-expression, their creativity, artistry, historical significance and their reflection in contemporary works. Based on the fact that each arpillera presents a story or narrative, visual narrative, one of the visual research methods, was adopted in the research. The research shows that arpilleras have gained an important place in feminist art movements and have become a powerful tool used by contemporary artists to convey social and political messages on current issues.</p></trans-abstract>
