Then, it wastranslated back into English. The content validity ofthe questionnaire, which was provided with languagecompatibility in this way, in Turkish culture wasexamined on 18 participants. For the pilot applicationof the questionnaire that provided the contentvalidity, individuals (n=137) who were in the waitingroom of our hospital, were older than 18 years, fromdifferent age groups, and had the ability to read andwrite in Turkish. Participants&#039; descriptive informationform, EQ-5D general quality of life scale and socialmotivation questionnaire were administered face-toface.ResultsIt was determined that the Turkish version of thequestionnaire provided content validity, with thecalculated I-CVI values in the range of 0.78-1.00and the S-CVI value being 0.93. One of the items(Item 8) of the &#039;emotion regulator&#039; sub-dimensionof the questionnaire was removed from the Turkishversion of the questionnaire because it decreased theCronbach&#039;s alpha coefficient. Other one (Item 2) wasremoved from the Turkish version of the questionnairebecause overlapping by showing a shift to both subdimensions. Thus, it was seen that the Turkish versionof the 6-item and 2 sub-dimension questionnairewith a Cronbach Alpha value of 0.693 provided theconfirmatory factor analysis goodness-of-fit values. The total score of the questionnaire had a moderatecorrelation with the emotion regulation sub-dimensionscore (r=0.581) and a very high correlation (r=0.955)with the information seeking sub-dimension score.ConclusionThe adaptation, validity and reliability of the SocialMotivation Questionnaire into Turkish was ensuredwith a 6-item and 2 sub-dimension structure.</p>
