                            <p>ObjectiveThe functionality of computed tomography andAlvarado score were investigated to prevent negativeappendectomy.Material and MethodPatients who had appendectomy surgery at NiğdeÖmer Halisdemir University Training and ResearchHospital between June 2020 and March 2021 wereretrospectively scanned. Correlations with pathologyresults were made.ResultsA positive correlation was found between the highAlvarado score and the diagnosis of appendicitis incomputed tomography. The lower alvarado scoreof those without appendicitis than those with acuteappendicitis; It was found statistically significant thatthose with acute appendicitis were lower than thosewith perforated-gangrene-plastrone appendicitis.ConclusionAlvarado scoring system is less specific than computedtomography and it is possible to reduce the negativeappendectomy rate with radiological examinations.</p></trans-abstract>
                                                                                                                                    <abstract><p>AmaçNegatif apepndektomiyi engellemk için bilgisayarlı tomografive Alvarado skorunun işlevselliği araştırıldı.Gereç ve YöntemNiğde Ömer Halisdemir Üniversitesi E.A.H.’de Haziran2020 ve Mart 2021 tarihleri arasında appendektomioperasyonu olan hastalar retrospektif olarak tarandı.Patoloji sonuçları ile korelasyonları yapıldı.BulgularAlvarado skoru yüksekliği ile bilgisayarlı tomografideapandisit tanısı arasında pozitif yönde korelasyonbulunmuştur. Apandisiti olmayanların alvarado skorununakut apandisiti olanlara göre düşük olması; akutapandisiti olanların perfore-gangrene-plastrone apandisitiolanlara göre düşük olması istatistiksel olarakanlamlı bulunmuştur.SonuçAlvarao Skorlama sistemi bilgisayarlı tomografiyegöre daha düşük oranda spesifiktir ve negative appendektomioranını radyolojik tetkikler ile azaltmakmümkündür.</p></abstract>
